Baltimore Ravens left tackle Eugene Monroe is showing his support for medical marijuana, which he uses to treat pain. Monroe has seen his fellow NFL players expierence addiction issues to pain medications. Opiates have been found to be abused by players in and retired from the NFL, medical marijuana provides a safer and non-addictive means to treat pain.

We need to be progressive and look at this and stop categorizing marijuana as something that has no value, said Monroe.
